I've lived with birds for several years now and have been graced with
my first adoptee--A meyers, similar in body shape/temperment/diet as
his geographical neighbor the Grey, although smaller and less
language.  He is six years old and I am his third known owner. Great

Mirror in cage UPDATE02 Mar 2004 00:07 GMT1
I took Rouge's mirror off his cage. He hasn't shut up since LOL. This
morning he woke me up with "jingle bells" and he has been chattering away
with himself since sunrise. "Prettyboy, what's the matter with you <jingle
bells>, "I'm a good boy, have you been a good boy?" "The animals ...
Re:01 Mar 2004 23:12 GMT20
Marco, while I see your point it does seem terrible for a bird never to fly.
It's kind of the point of being a bird.  However, I've learnt the value of

We appear to have located our cockatiel, Percy, but are having real problems

from a neighbour of someone who had brought a cockatiel around to various
neighbours, close to the day we lost Percy, and within ...

Odd behavior01 Mar 2004 22:09 GMT54
Aren't half of the postings in the NG titled "odd" or "strange" behavior? :)
Cockatiels are a lot of fun.
My hen Poppy likes to stand on the microwave oven over my stove, especially
while I'm cooking or cleaning, and survey the kitchen. This is fine as I
Paralyzed cockatiel01 Mar 2004 21:00 GMT115
My cockatiel Pippson is not feeling good at all. A few weeks ago she got
problems using her left leg after laying her 17:th (!) egg. She used her
right leg, left wing and beak to move. I took her to the vet who
examined her and took some x-rays. One theory was that some nerve got ...

There's a 1 year old cockatiel I might like to buy because it can
talk. If I get it, is it too old to bond to me?

Chilli Tiel01 Mar 2004 16:51 GMT96
Are Chillis okay to give to Tiels?
I give them as a treat every now and then, and he seems to really enjoy
