Ringneck sleep behaviour.24 May 2004 10:35 GMT1
I'd just like to know about how or where a Ringneck sleeps, because
mine climbs up into the corner of his cage and then hangs there during
the night. Whether he climbs onto a pirch during the night, I don't
know, but in the morning i've found him hanging still :-)
New Training22 May 2004 02:17 GMT6
I have a feeling that my bird is about to lay eggs.
ANYWAY, I'm trying to start a training regimine (obviously it'll get
tabled if she does lay).
She already 'steps up' without any hassle at all (well, occasionally
Switching Water Sources19 May 2004 12:59 GMT16
Maxine was given to me last year and she was being watered via a small pyrex
bowl, which she keeps fouling.  I'm trying to get her to switch to a
gravity-feed water bottle.  I placed the spout next to her bowl and
gradually reduced the amount of water available, as suggested by the

they are all sociable, and loveable. The wings are trimmed enough to where
they can still get around but not uncatchable, they like to be held anyways.

What has happened to this group? It's no fun nor informative anymore. Please
stop and start new, I don't care what someone said or did in the past. Get
over it... Let's talk cockatiels and other birds in the other groups. PLEASE

How long to let them sit?14 May 2004 03:29 GMT4
This is my first experience with egg-laying cockatiels.  I have two females
who laid 9 infertile eggs in total and have been incubating them as a
tag-team.  Now I'm wondering how long I should let them continue, and just
how to go about getting things back to normal.
the cockatiel and the dollar bill14 May 2004 01:35 GMT15
Hello bird enthusiast.
There are 7 cockatiel eggs in the nesting box of my bird cage. If all those
7 eggs hatch, then I'll have the burden of taking care of 10 cockatiels...oh
my. I'm gonna feel like i'm living inside of an aviary.

And if so, how often?
Also, has anyone had a sandy perch instead of a cement perch? I am
going to purchase a sandy perch sometime and was wondering what you
thought about them? I've heard they are better to use.
