parrot towers31 Jan 2005 05:18 GMT3
i have a question regarding parrots, cages, and towers.
will a parrot tower suffice? or will i still need a cage as well?
a tower is basically a cage w/o the 'cage'...so i don't really see why you
would need both

thanks to all who gave advice, a special thanks to the man who suggested I
research before the bird comes home.  That was really great, should I give
him back and start from scratch.!!!
I found a very helpful site at: cockatielcottage.com
Wild birds27 Jan 2005 23:38 GMT3
I got my tiel yesterday and I think he's settling in well after his ordeal
in getting here (a long car trip). He certainly is shy, but I'm confident
we'll get there with patience. He often makes a hissing noise when I get too
close, but he's eating and no longer immediately goes ...
Orange Juice27 Jan 2005 18:20 GMT8
My <6 month old TAG just loves orange juice.  He drinks it out of a glass
that I am holding, and prefers it to other beverages.  Is it ok to give him
how ever much he wants?  Thanks in advance.
Biting bird27 Jan 2005 17:25 GMT23
I got a beautiful cockatiel in Nov.  He is great with me and loves to spend
all his time out of the cage.  He has started biting anyone else who gets
near him.  How can I stop this.  Also can anyone reccomend a good, basic
book  that deals with training.  This is our first bird and ...
Are all cockatiels pretty much the same?27 Jan 2005 17:23 GMT2
Other than the small differences between males and females, do they all
pretty much have the same personalities and behavior?

How Get Rid Of Dander24 Jan 2005 21:45 GMT38

How young can grey's associate?24 Jan 2005 17:12 GMT38
Can anyone tell me how young (on average) grey's are able to associate
words with objects?  I know each grey is different and some never talk
yada yada.  I'm just asking for ballpark averages or personal
experiences.
Ruined News Group20 Jan 2005 22:20 GMT27
I just blocked all the block heads who can't post on topic and you know
what?  There's only 3 posts left that are actually on topic.  You a.sholes
have totally trashed this newsgroup...hope you're freaking happy.
Oh yeah, and to keep on topic, Mel & Mollie are doing great after ...
new cockatiel owner20 Jan 2005 21:23 GMT22
I have just purchased a young male cockatiel which I am thrilled with. He is
so tame already. He will step up and is able to leave his cage all in the
first week at home! I love him. He is cuddly and loves nothing more than
time out of his cage with me. He is also happy with other ...
Attention problems20 Jan 2005 16:57 GMT5
Recently, my CAG Simon will peep a loud sharp PEEP when he wants attention.
However, it is getting too out of control since he peeps way too many times.
I tried ignoring him for some time but he is unrelenting.
Anyone else having similar problems?
