Cage-Cleaning Question--Best Steam Cleaner?29 Nov 2005 17:24 GMT3
I've got three parrots with some pretty large cages. I'd like to give
their homes a comprehensive cleaning more than twice a year or so, but
it's a real chore to keep lugging their cages out to the backyard for a
hosedown. I was wondering how well the Vann's of (sorry, I forget the
Questions About Mealy Parrots28 Nov 2005 06:41 GMT1
My wife and I have 10 birds in one room, one of whom is Lucky, a Mealy
Amazon, who has owned us for about 25 years.  As most Mealys do, he
screams just before sunset.  He also screams incessantly when my wife
enters the room, or when it is night and there is light shining into
TAG eating the wall26 Nov 2005 19:35 GMT2
I am assuming that my parrot is trying to make a nest(I haven't had it
sexed).  I have no intention of breeding but I wonder if he/she would
feel better with a nest box.  Does anyone know if this would keep the
bird from digging through the wall?
Will they ever get along?25 Nov 2005 19:49 GMT1
I have two cockatiels. I got Cookoo when he was a baby. He loves
people. Then I got Toro a month later, thinking she/he would keep
Cookoo company. But they hate each other. Well, it's mostly Cookoo who
bite and chase Toro around. It's been 3 months now. I love both of them

Thanks for all the input, it was really pleasent reading apart from a little
bug that posted stupid hate remarks. I am new to this board, you all just
seem to ignore it, so I will from now on just do the same and block him out.

Clipped wings question17 Nov 2005 20:54 GMT19
Hello fellow Grey fans,
We recently bought a beautiful Grey, her wings are not clipped, while there
is no problem for her to stay that way, I was wondering, would it be better
to clip her wings during the adjustment periode of her new home. And what

Any suggestion?06 Nov 2005 15:36 GMT5
Cindy is just over a year old, and has never been left alone for more than 3 hours. When left alone she will sit in her cage and not move (I have taped her).
I am considering doing a course next year, which would have me away two days a week and due to travel time it would be 7 ...
Help Please, Cockatiel Foot problem05 Nov 2005 14:48 GMT1
I rescued this female cockatiel about 7 years ago.  She has her outings with dad and I and was very active and curious and demanded to be on me.  Recently she began to want to roost in her food dish.  I thought the perches were bad..... they are manzanita, eucaliptus and cloth ...

I bought two handraised tiels in Feb '04, a normal gray male and a pearl
female as pets and they cohabited in the same cage for over a year
without any problems. Then back in april or may this year the male
