My dog died recently and I'm having a hard time dealing with the guilt. She was terribly sick and we worked with the vet to get her better. After a week, she was miserable and the vet thought the prognosis was poor and we had her put down.

On the 18th of this month.. my duke would have turned 10 yrs.... instead, on july 4th.... he died at the vets office... not in my care.. I am so stupid. I had the opportunity to come see him the night before but I was so sure I would see him the next day... I left him there ...

my neighbour and friend just ran over my 19 year old cat Swipe and he died in my arms on the way to the vet, but luckily I think he was totally unconscious from the moment it happened. I'm still really shocked and it hasn't sunk in yet. It was so traumatic to rush out and see ...
