New SAE: Is this normal?31 Aug 2003 13:21 GMT5
I bought a new SAE today. Since I introdiced him into the aquarium almost 9
hours ago, he has been restless. He swims up and down the glass aquarium
walls completely ignoring any flake food and black brush algae on my bacopa
(reason I got him).   The other fish in the aquarium are ...

I say, Hear! Hear! and Amen!
Remember the guy who got on a plane with a bomb built into his shoe and
tried to light it? His trial is over.  How much of this Judge's comments did
you hear on TV?  Everyone should hear what the judge had to say.
Flourite Alert for other beginners 8^)30 Aug 2003 21:37 GMT1
I just added Flourite to my 29 and 10 gallon freshwater...I learned from the
29 gallon that when Seachem says the Flourite might require rinsing you
should read it as 'flooding'.  Rinsing just didn't cut it.  The 29 now looks
like Mars during a sandstorm.  I did the 10g by putting ...

Can anyone tell me why this beautiful plant is NOT legal in Florida,
California, and Nevada? I live in Nevada and would love to have this plant.
Thanks in advance

pressurized or carbo plus??27 Aug 2003 22:08 GMT1
Ok, I have got everything but the Co2 system figured out.  I cant decide if
I should just get the JBJ kit (with reg, sol..) or get that Carbo Plus
system... anyone have any experience with the carbo plus?  and good or bad
on the product... pros for either... cons for either and just ...

Rainbow starting with Bosemani .
I paid $14.00 for a two inch fish.
Snail Eater?27 Aug 2003 16:36 GMT5
A few months ago, I set-up a new 54-gallon planted tank and had numerous
snails that came along with the plants. A while after introducing some fish
in the tank, I noticed they were gone. I mainly have community fish - but
can only attribute the disappearance to my Black Knife Ghost ...
Malaysian Trumpet Snails27 Aug 2003 15:14 GMT1
Hello Everyone,
I've just bumped into this forum whilst surfing for info on MTS's.
It's nice to find an aquatic gardening site that's based in the UK :-)
I live in the North West of the UK (well actually North Wales but I
OK....Yeast in the tank27 Aug 2003 15:13 GMT2
Yep I like many others decided to go with the CO2. I bought a small kit and
when I was installing it I started a siphon by accident and it ended up
sucking some of the yeast solution into the tank and now I cant clear it up
for anything. I waited about a week and a half to see if it ...
Vallisneria flower27 Aug 2003 11:30 GMT3
My Val's blooming.  At least I think it's a Val.  I've got some pics up:
http://www.fortunecity.com/lavender/halloween/881/vallis.htm
I really like this plant, whatever it is.  It stays in tight clumps, rather
than spreading all over the tank.  And it stays fairly short.
co2 DIFFUSER?26 Aug 2003 23:27 GMT1
Looking for a good Co2 diffusser.  Was looking at maybe getting the
following:  http://www.plantguild.com/html/power_reactors.html
was wondering if anyone had experience with this diffuser rather good or
bad.  And if it was a bad experience what kind of diffuser would you
Snails - Benifit or Pest?26 Aug 2003 15:31 GMT6
You know those little snails that come with every plant you buy?  Why are
they considered to be a pest?  Don't they virtually eliminate algae on plant
leaves?  What is everyone's opinions of them? Are they beneficial to planted
aquariums, or are they a nuisance?
