Hello! I just ordered my first plants.  I bought a variety of crypts, dwarf
lily bulbs and some Brazilian microsword.  My tank is 30 gal with 55w pc
lights and pressurized co2.  I am replacing the current non-planted setup to
planted, replacing the substrate with 100% flourite this ...

Does anyone know where I can get a 5lb CO2 tank refilled?  I've tried the
following types of business with mixed results:
Homebrew store - no
Liquor store - no

I'm considering upgrading the lighting in my 110 gallon tank. The hood
that caught my eye is a CustomSeaLife PowerCompact/Moon-Lite, 48", 4x65W.
That will double the light in my tank, which I don't really need, but
should enable me to grow a couple of plants that haven't done well ...

Is it ok to use O2 cylinder for CO2?

First the disclaimer:  I have absolutely no vested interest in this other
than I have been obsessively searching for a good pH controller at a
reasonable cost as I plan and set up my planted tank.  I finally settled on

Will I be able to make 1-2 buble per sec. only with Pressure Regulator and
without needle valve.  Do I have to use only CO2 cylinder (such as Paintball
sylinder) or can I use cylinder from Propane Fuel (Carbon Monoxide (CO)?  I
have 16oz cylinder with CO and would like to convert it ...

If I buy 20 oz CO2 tank, how long will it last?

When I use DIY yeast/sugar/water with Nutrafin Bubble Counter/Diffuser the
bubbles don't dissolve in the first 24-36 hours for no reason and only after
24-36 hours bubbles starts dissolve in Nutrafin Bubble Counter/Diffuser.
Now here is the question if I start using pressurized CO2 ...

I have been to quite a few pet/fish stores in the area and the plant
selection is limited and the quality poor. I am looking for some low
light plants for a small aquarim. Anyone have suggestions for shops or
plants to sell? I would rather not have to buy online.

I can afford a nice new twin T5 light rig or
a proper CO2 system. I can't get both.

Well, I've done some research and I'm going to have upgrade my lighting at
very minimum, even to just have low light plants.  I found a double bulb
strip, fluorescent and the glass cover that were reasonable priced.  This

It would seem to me that the depth of the tank would be the determining
factor in lumens, not the gallons. ie: a 24 inch deep tank would require
more light than an 18 inch deep tank even though both were 40 gallons.
Anyone agree or am I all wet?   Excuse the drawing...

Seems every week I'm trimming more and more. I've filled my 75g and
30g. Now this week I actually had to throw away plants. Believe me it
hurt my feelings. I have lots and lots of Rotala Indica, Sunset Hygro,
