Co2 regulators+needle valves28 Nov 2003 18:26 GMT1
Alright...
I've been using DIY CO2 for the past five years and I'm about ready to
purchase a REAL CO2 system. I probably could be putting a down payment on an
Acura NSX with all the money that I wasted on sugar and yeast.
Platys and plants28 Nov 2003 16:15 GMT6
We got our first aquarium four weeks ago--10 gallons, 2 Corys, and 2
Platys (male and female).  We put two clumps of cutting plants in at the
two-week mark.  The Platys decimated them.
Is it hopeless to try to grow plants with Platys, or is it related to
Krishna River Biotope28 Nov 2003 14:39 GMT4
Anyone know a good resource for underwater pictures (and other information)
on the Krishna River or similar Indian biotopes? I'm trying to plan a
realistic tank, but have had no joy trying to find examples. Any other
suggestions would be appreciated
worms in substrate28 Nov 2003 12:37 GMT1
I noticed a few worms on the bottom of my clippings bucket. They were about
1-2"
and as thin as a ramen noodle. Does any1 else here get them?
What are they specifically?
how long do fishtanks last?28 Nov 2003 10:40 GMT8
I ask because I the seals on my 29 gallon planted tank seem to peeling at the
edges.  I bought the tank new in 1989, and it has been up and running
continuously since.  There are many algae-eating critters in the tank
(bristlenose pleco, various species of snails, an oto or three, ...
Plant dilemma27 Nov 2003 22:06 GMT4
I've been getting help here and actually ordered my equipment the other day

talked to the LFS the plant order was coming in Dec 7,  which was good my
other stuff was coming Dec 1 or 2. So I got them to bring in ...
Stocking a 20 Gallon Long questions...27 Nov 2003 21:51 GMT3
I have a simple question to ask. I have a spare 20 gallon long tank that
I want to heavily plant and was wondering what to stock. I have been
debating a pair of kribs, 1/2 m/f ratio of Blue Rams, and someone also
suggested Rainbowfish...Please give me some more suggestions ...

Shades of the Petswarehouse Lawsuit!27 Nov 2003 07:27 GMT46
You really have to watch what you say and make sure you don't give
opinions anymore.  I received this nice email this evening.  Just a
heads up for all of you.

Moving plants from a CO2-injected tank to a "normal" tank27 Nov 2003 01:59 GMT2
I recently started injecting CO2 into my aquarium and I'm confident my
plants will benefit from it. But I was wondering, what happens to a plant
that's been growing in a CO2-enriched tank when it's transferred to another
tank that doesn't have a CO2 injector? Does the plant get used ...
Amazon Sword -- Leaves Curling!26 Nov 2003 19:52 GMT1
Does anyone know what nutrient deficiency would make leaves curl? How
much Potassium should I be dosing?
Thx in advance,
Nick D.
Web Based Aquarium Records Databasse26 Nov 2003 00:52 GMT5
I'm in the process of writing a web based Aquarium Database using PHP
as the frontend and MySQL for the DB backend and could use some input
on things that you folks think would be handy to keep in such a
database.
CO2 injectors: is turning off the air pump safe for my fish?25 Nov 2003 19:50 GMT4
I know this topic has been discussed before, but I'm very new at this and
would like to know what I can do and not do with my aquarium. After all,
advice that's good for one particular tank may not be as good for another.
I recently got one of those Nutrafin Natural Plant System CO2 ...
what is the difference between a 6700 and a 9700 and a 10,000 PC light25 Nov 2003 05:42 GMT1
1. What is the difference between a 6700 and a 9700 and a 10,000 PC lamp?
2. If the supplier will only offer a 50/50 or a daylight bulb(10,000) which
should I use?
3. If I have a 48" fixture with 4 lamps what combinations would be best?
Reverse Osmosis System24 Nov 2003 09:46 GMT11
All,
I am currently intrested in purchasing a reverse osmosis system so
that I can crate "soft" water for my plants and rainforest fish. I
don't know if this is wise or not as I live in a one bedroom
