Several months ago I somehow introduced some sort of fuzzy algae into my
tank, and since then I have been unable to grow hornwort. The fuzzy stuff
grows on the hornwort and basically overgrows them so I have this ugly fuzzy
mass. If I reduce the light too much, the hornwort dies. ...

I am calling all experts out there to help me with feeding my plants.
I have to admit that my knowledge in this area is very limited, but

Let me give you my tank stuff

I've read about people spending half an hour a week (or less) maintaining
their planted tanks. I simply don't frickin believe it! Either they live in
a perfect world or they're doing an awful lot of daily maintenance that's
not being included in the weekly total.
