lining a whiskey barrel22 May 2007 17:14 GMT32
If I buy a half whiskey barrel at HD, Menard's, or Lowe's, will clear 6
mil plastic be good enough for lining it so it will hold water?  I
assume it won't hold water without a liner even after the wood swells
up.  I want to plant a lotus seedling in it.  I'm too cheap to buy a
Daphnia?10 May 2007 18:35 GMT2
I have tiny white specs swimming around my tank.  They are visible
with the naked eye, but with a 30x loupe look like round blobs with a

Planted Tank maintainence03 May 2007 19:36 GMT11
My new(ish) venture, a plants only tank is working quite well
now. Some of the plants are outgrowing their allotted space and need
pruning, I tend to disturb things when I try to do this. So, can anyone
recommend a site with a tutorial on planted tank maintenance?
Lighting fixture upgrade. Questions03 May 2007 19:30 GMT5
Since I have an older T12 lighting fixture, and now it seems that older T12
bulbs are getting harder to find as well as in different wave lengths, I'm
thinking of upgrading my fixtures. Compact Fluorescent is looking nice at 96
watts on a dual bulb fixture, but T5 is looking good ...
