I was just reading about rats and I found this article from 2001.
I thought it was interesting.
Big Increase in Rat Numbers Expected

Ive got a rat that is 2 years and 5 months old, and he is looking terrible.
Still eating, drinking, etc.  but he has almost no hair now, and is really
wrinkly.   How old in human years would he be?

A Big thank-you to all of you guys..:)  Its nice to be able to share the bad
and the good times...  Today is another day and it will take a day or two to
get use to a different routine without my pensioner.. Such is the circle of
life...  I miss him soo much though...

And I've just found that it had made a nest inside my fencing mask (carrier bag,
more wallpaper - scarily it's a different wallpaper to that on my wall... - and
the foam padding from the inside of the mask).

When I took Gizmo to the Vets today I left Rodney Rat Bag there to be
neutered.  It is the first time I have ever seen a Rat sulk..I guess Im off
his Xmas Card List now.... The Vet noticed that Rodney still hasn't lost any
weight and said that sadly she couldn't do Liposuction..:))  ...

why when you play with your rats and put them back in their cage they'll
almost always immediately start wresling!? That's so funny, I wish I could
jump in!

Do you think if I got both pet rats and birds such as Cockatiels,
they'd play together?

 Well, I'm a rat granny!  I arrived home from work to 14 healthy looking
pinkies.  All had full white bellies.  Piper had 15, but one didn't make it.

After my last post regarding Gizmo, I went and watched him for a while.  He
appeared to be asleep but it was still disturbing to watch... his sides are
going in and out with each breath and his whole body rocks with it as
well...  I am concerned... I think he may need to go to the ...

Stripe had her second mammary tumour removed today. Despite the fact that
she still had some (myco?) breathing problems before the op, she thankfully
got through it ok. She's on another week of injected baytril to finish the
infection off. Of course, we still can't be 100% sure ...

I think I've decided to get my Lucy a playmate.  I went to the petstore
yesterday and the only females they had were one's with babies.  I checked
out the babies and there were some with full fur and their eyes were just
