| Homeade diet | 07 Mar 2004 23:52 GMT | 17 |
After getting tired of picking out all the corn and nuts from the commercial diets, I've decided to make my own mixed diet, and feed it in addition to Hagen Nutriblock and Nutro Lite dog food. I'm going on the suebee recipe I found online. The only thing that went bad

For some unknown reason Baba is removing all the nice food from the bowl in her cage, abseiling down from the wardrobe (the rope's back) sprinting across the floor, climbing onto my bed and hiding everything under my pillow. Are these presents for me? Why hasn't she worked out ...

I have discovered the perfect thing for disguising antibiotics in. Louie has been on the baytril/doxycycline combination for a couple of weeks now for another myco flare up and I've had a bit of a nightmare trying to get his meds down him. Doxycycline is an antibiotic that can't ...

Hi Joanne, Yes Bluey is a Zen rat! I lucked out in getting her, because when I originally asked, Charlie said she was on hold. But then the breeder that had her on hold backed out... what luck!

I run the website Ratz R Us (www.ratzrus.co.uk) which some of you may have visited, and have done so for about three years now. Not any more. It seems it is an infringement of the rights of Toys "R" Us, and is going to have to be shut down. I can't believe a multi-billion pound ...

| Little mo's last night | 06 Mar 2004 18:01 GMT | 6 |
I'm sad to say although the decision has been heartbreaking that we're going to let little mo go tomorrow. The antibiotics have cleared up the infection wonderfully but I'm beginning to suspect that there's maybe something else that's causing her pain. She's gained no weight at all ...

| Odd Clicks & Breathing | 06 Mar 2004 17:18 GMT | 9 |
A few weeks ago one of our boys got very thin, and was on his way out. Before he passed he started to breathe funny, breathing heavy and opening his mouth as wide as he could and making clicking noises. The next day he passed. I though t it was just something odd because he was old ...

I went to see an exhibition of photographers Man Ray and Lee Miller. To my great surprise, between the stylish nudes, portraits of artists and writers, and surrealist compositions, there was this beautiful picture of 4 rats sitting on a stick, tails hanging down. Lee Miller

Was all set up to get some little playmates for my lonesome rat, but then it works out how to abseil down the wardrobe (well, fall anyway). At first I thought it was an accident but it very quickly proved that it was intentional. I'd already had to plug the gap at the back (she'd ...

| Rainbow Bridge... | 04 Mar 2004 18:37 GMT | 7 |
Our naughty little sweet Sprocket passed away. After finally getting some money to take him to the vet and treating him properly for his chest infection, which the vet, upon assessment, thought could either be allergies or indeed a bacterial infection, he suffered a heart attack ...
