Thanks for all your kind words and helpful hints. Unfortunately,  there has
been so sign of our rat for a week now. It's as though she has disappeared
off the face of the Earth -- nothing has been nibbled or chewed, and there
are no signs of droppings.

Is it a good idea to stick you're rats in a bath of water, I've seen a

Hi, we have a semi-tame pet rat which has escaped from its cage, and is
god-knows-where in the house. Does anyone have any advice/tips on how to
tempt her out into the open, so we can catch her and return her to her sad
