Well just to let you know that I applied the Frontline to the boys yesterday

Rat Identification--28 Jun 2004 23:47 GMT7
I just recently purchased a rat today and I was wondering about
identification..as in taxonomy type thingies...
She's got what I would call, from limited research, a sliver hood with a
narrow stripe running down the length of her back.  She also has two stripes
Update on my 2 new babies and a rant!28 Jun 2004 16:17 GMT24
As I said last week, I succumbed to the dreaded GMRS. I eventually named my
2 new boys, Sonic and Tails, Sonic is defintely living up to his name, he's
found a new game where he runs up the back of the sofa and across the pc and
waits on the scanner the other side til I get to about ...

I have just acquired a small rat that I found in my patio. I grabbed a
old of it just before my Siberian Husky and my Sheltie/ American Eskimo
mix dogs did.
I believe it is a girl. It has a very light cinnamin/ biege color head

Bless!27 Jun 2004 21:38 GMT4
Bruno has officially won the award for sleepiest rat in the world.  I am
working away at my computer and the boy's cage is behind me.  I hear a small
crash and turn round to see an arm has snapped on the hammock that Bruno is
in and he has slipped out (but only about 3cm to a shelf ...
scratching25 Jun 2004 18:35 GMT12
Badger seems to be scratching a lot lately Stuart and Teddy aren't. I have
had a look and can't see any mites or anything. Are they very small? can you
see them? What do they look like? Could it be anything else? They don't get
huge over protein food and there are no scabs.
Boy rats & smell - really24 Jun 2004 21:40 GMT10
Thanks so much for all your answers.  I love this group already.
I just got an email from a breeder and I can go on a waiting list that might
take, well 2 months (the suspense will kill me).  But she's asking me if I
want boys or girls.   Now in my research I've read that male rats ...
Bluebell23 Jun 2004 22:15 GMT40
Well, what a turn up for the books! Went down town earlier with my husband.
I needed to get some rat food and as he was with me I asked him to go in the
pet shop for it ( what the eyes don't see the heart doesn't grieve over). I
had made a promise to him after we got the last 3 ...

We took "Bong" to the vet today - well, rushed her there, actually.
She was producing red/brown coloured urine.
The Vet ran several tests. These show that there is protein in her urine,
but no blood (thank goodness). She says that (since the urine is quite
