Im just curious. Are hairless rats prone to more illness then there warmer hairy brothers ? From what I have read it looks to me that there all prone to tumors,cysts,cancer.

I buried Baybay and Mr Sniffles near my favorite fishing hole. 16 paces from the old tree. I can visit them all the time.Mr Sniffles first then Baybay on top just like they used to sleep !!

Hi group, A few questions about ratties and pooping. I've heard it said that rats have good hygiene - they know when they need to poop or pee and if they're in their cage, they choose a spot to use as their toilet area.

Thank You all Very Much It's so good to have people who understand and can help. My vets office is closed till Tuesday and the Answering service referred me to Northway Animal Emergency Clinic in Gansevoort N.Y. about an hour away but well worth it.
