I am a college student looking to get a rat as a pet. I am moving into a house with 5 other people and will therefore have to keep the rat in my room. My question is will it make too much noise at night for me to sleep well? What kind of noise etc.? Thanks.

My little hairless female, Peaches, has an abscess on her tummy. She squirms like crazy now that it has come to the surface and I need to clean it out. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to remove the covering and making it easier to get it cleaned out.
