Update on Daisy, Peach and the ratlings28 Feb 2006 10:21 GMT2
We're at Day 12 now.
The babies' ears are lifting from their heads, there's definitely some
fur growing, and their eyes all have slits so they should be opening
them any day now.
Good news for Peach's pipsqueaks28 Feb 2006 07:28 GMT12
Today I stopped by the pet shop where I had gotten Daisy and Peach. I
told one of their employees about how Peach was pregnant and gave birth
16 days after I had bought her. The lady said that the shop can take the
babies when they're weaned, since it was their mistake. I'm ...

Tricks to get rat to take medication27 Feb 2006 15:41 GMT8
Hi everyone...
The Jacques/Pierre saga continues.  I finally decided that the Amoxicillin
was not cutting it for the guys so off we went to the FAR AWAY vet on
Friday.  The good news is they are now both on a Baytril/Doxy combo, with
Hairless Rats27 Feb 2006 12:42 GMT8
I've noticed a lot of posts concerning hairless Rats recently including many
pictures.
As an owner of Two, Standard, fully hirsute Female Rats I find myself at a
loss to understand the appeal.
What's happening to my rat???26 Feb 2006 20:00 GMT4
This morning I noticed a large mass on one of my rats, its located on the
ventral side a little to the left, just behind the front leg. The amazing
thing is that I played with them again just yesterday and I didn't notice
anything wrong, but today it's so huge, you can't miss it, ...
Breeders in West Berks, UK26 Feb 2006 13:59 GMT2
My boyfriend is absolutely fascinated by dumbo rats and has never actually
seen one in the flesh before. Its his birthday soon and I was thinking of
maybe getting a couple to keep Binka and Checksum company. Are there any
breeders in or around the West Berkshire area of the UK? I ...

Frenchy is about 1 year old ( We were told she's 6 months old when we
got her

More on breeding25 Feb 2006 19:16 GMT3
I've often wondered why black eyed whites aren't more popular?  Pink eyes
don't see as well as black, so is there a move to get breed out PEWs and
turn them all into BEWs?
Is this true? illegal to breed rats in Alberta, Canada???24 Feb 2006 20:04 GMT12
I got an email from Petsmart stating that the reason they do not have
pet rats in their store here on Vancouver Island is because their
supplier is in Alberta and it is illegal to breed rats there.
True?

Sorry, sorta off topic.. Where to find mice breeder, not pet    stores?23 Feb 2006 20:06 GMT2
Hi, I'd like to get a couple fancy mice, just not from the pet store..

question about peach23 Feb 2006 20:02 GMT19
If peach is a hairless then will her babies automagically be hairless? or
what?
Peach's pipsqueaks22 Feb 2006 08:24 GMT3
I took a very quick look at the litter while Peach was busy elsewhere. I
can now see the patterns of colour on the babies' flesh though no fur
has grown yet.
I've definitely got some hooded and one or two Berkshire.

It has been a while since I posted.  I suppose in a way that is good
news.  I have 9 boys left and we have had some quiet time at last.  I
know it won't be long before we are back into doing the Vet treks again.
I have one boy with bumble foot and the Copper Sulphate just ...
