We made it to the Vets without Houdi managing to do his escape
thing..:)  My original Vet )from when I first had rats) is back from
having her kids.  WOOHOO  She was great with Houdi and Harry. She gave
them both a thorough going over.  Houdis bumble foot is being treated

I got a call on my cell phone today from a breeder telling me she has a
hairless available for me. I wish I woulda answered when she called instead
of cleaning lol. It might be the hairless girl ive been waiting for. or
maybe the hairless boy or better both!!! OH TOMORROW HURRY UP ...

One of the babies was chasing Peach a bit, and I noticed when Peach

well my new cage 600HR arrived today. and just a little assembly required 1
billion metal rings later its a great looking cage.
twice the size of my last cage for 2 adults.  
anyone have a good place to get a sleep box and a couple hammocks?

Well, you may remember my post a few weeks back when I said that my adopted
brothers Beau and Sebastian had started fighting and had to be separated
over a weekend? They were OK for about 5 weeks and then last weekend they
started again!

I'm pleased to report that things with Speck seem to be going well.
Though she still resists being caught to some extent, once she's with
me she settles down right away. She nestles herself near my collarbone
and is content enough to take snacks, and usually falls right asleep in

We recently lost our 13 year old Golden Labrador to age and illness.  While
the rats certainly keep us company, we've decided to start looking for
another dog.  I know enough to stay away from Terriers.  And I'm no kid
looking for his first pet, so I know that a well behaved dog ...
