Second round of new babies30 Apr 2006 20:59 GMT4
First time posting here.  We just lost the second rat of our first set of
rats.  :-(  After a few weeks I realized just how much I missed having my
rats, so we got two new babies a couple days ago.  They are still very
scared, though one seems to be coming around.  The other is ...
sick rat jumping?30 Apr 2006 12:29 GMT8
Hi all, Merry seems to have symptoms showing he has a pituitary tumor, but
he's on Baytril in case of ear infection. This morning I awoke to flopping
sounds coming from the cage and it turned out to be Merry. It seemed like he
was having leg spasms as he would get himself sitting ...
longest life?30 Apr 2006 12:22 GMT5
post your record-holder rat's life time!
Personally my 2 current rats are the toughest I've ever hard. They are 2
years and 5 months old. One of them has 2 mammary tumors but still seem
happy. The other one is top-shape.
Syrophome (sp?)30 Apr 2006 05:26 GMT1

inappropriate advances30 Apr 2006 05:21 GMT2
Ratsters:
Our little juvenile rescue has a touch of the wheezes. We have a vet
appointment scheduled, and she has dry spells when she is active and
playful, including using the wheel. She coughs when she awakens, then
Toy Suggestions?29 Apr 2006 09:32 GMT7
I've put several items in my girls and boys cages, but was wondering if
anyone had some great ideas for toys.
Preferably, I'd like to use stuff from around the house.
So far, I've got shredded paper, tissues, cups, TP rolls, some PVC pipe,
New rats, first bite29 Apr 2006 02:23 GMT17
The 4 rats that needed homes came this evening, very nice people, cute
rats. The 3 girls are standard ears, and smaller than my 2 dumbo girls.
The boy isn't much bigger than my girls, and with very limited space,
decided to keep him in my room until I can get him nuetered. He is
sneezy babies28 Apr 2006 12:22 GMT1
OK, here I am back again so soon...  My babies seem to sneeze a lot.
They've only been home a few days.  I got a new cage with new water bottles,
etc.  The pet store put pine bedding in and I plan to switch to the paper
with the first cage cleaning.  Is this something I should ...

We adopted two more today...27 Apr 2006 16:28 GMT8
Which brings us up to a total of four ratties.
Some of you may remember we adopted two girls about a month ago and one
of them decided to grow balls.  After giving it some serious thought and
checking around for pricing on neutering Pepper, we decided it wouldn't
hopeful news after vet visit26 Apr 2006 10:13 GMT2
Well, just got back from the vets. I will be scheduling a date to have
Pippin's tumor removed as the Dr. also believes it is benign and says Pippin
should recover well. She believes Merry might have a pituitary tumor, but
says it may also be an inner ear infection, so Merry is ...
Hairless rat w/ bumps on back26 Apr 2006 02:54 GMT2
I have a question about 2 small bumps on the lower back of my female
hairless rat.  She's about a year old or so.  These 2 bumps are not
that big, but they each have a small hole right smack in the middle.
They kinda look like a mini volcano.  Any idea of what they could be
one of my rare updates25 Apr 2006 18:46 GMT2
Hello, I hope everybody is well. I don't think I've been on here for a
couple of months, so I thought I'd give an update. Eowyn has been with the
boys and is doing wonderful. She's almost 2yrs. 6months now! Pippin seems
even more energetic than I can remember even with the pooch ...
Rat-assisted computer upgrade25 Apr 2006 01:03 GMT7
On thursday, Daisy decided to help me buy a new keyboard. I had left her
unattented for all of five minutes and she chewed the cable right off of
my keyboard.
Right now I'm using a clunky old IBM as a stand-in. I swear this thing's
