Would like a little advice, I have had rats in the past but my 2 latest male ratties do smell quite a bit, I clean their cage out regulary but they still smelly boppers, is there anything I can do or get that will keep the smell down a little bit?????

If my other rat dies, leaving my 2.5 year old rat alone, should i buy another rat to keep it company, or should i buy 2 other rats, that way in a years time, if the first one goes they still have company..

I was looking around my garage and found a loanly ugboot short slipper, i throw the otherone out in the move, its old, doesnt smell too bad, so i cut the toes off it and the rats like sleeping in it. leather and wool, what more could rats want.

Three and a half years ago we had a litter of rats (petshop-bought rat was pregnant!). We sold most, and kept two for ourselves, which died less than two years later: inbreeding probably contributing to their short lives.
