We picked up a lovely pair of girls the other day named (by hubby)
Laverne & Shirley.  I used to breed rats (pets only !) 10 years
ago..think I might have supplied whole public school with rats :) ..
but have been ratless for at least 5 years.  I know how fast good

My girly rat Riley just died suddenly a few weeks ago :(  and it's the
first time I've ever lost a rattie companion so it was quite hard for
me and my mom as well.   My mom still cries a little when we talk about
her and her antics, and she keeps telling me she doesn't want another

my rat mini-beast has babies that are a couple days short of three weeks
old. part of the socialization process that i practice with them is putting
my hand through the bottom level door to the cage and letting them climb and
play on it. in this litter there is a red eyed albino ...
Saturday night movie clip24 Sep 2006 19:34 GMT9
I haven't posted here in a while, but I'm still around; I just don't always
have/make the time to post.
So anyway, here a movie clip I thought I'd share with you. I've shot it last

Pixar Rat Movie23 Sep 2006 11:14 GMT11
I went to see Cars with my kids a few nights ago.  Among the trailers
was one for the forthcoming (summer '07) movie from Pixar,
_Ratatouille_.  Evidently, it's a sympathetic portrayal of rats living
in a Parisian restaurant.  You can find the trailer here=>

since i last posted here my rat mini-beast has had a new litter. the litter
is 2 1/2 weeks old right now: one of the cutest times in a little rat's
life. the thing i would like to say is that this litter of 6 is one of the
most friendly and socialized litters i have yet been ...

Hi group,
Quoting Mad-Biker:
"I wish Dapper Rat would host a forum of some kind, or some other rat
specific group, I suppose somebody should start one, would anybody come?"
the babies are looking very cute22 Sep 2006 03:29 GMT2
my litter is just over three weeks old now and as many of you folks know, it
is an extremely cute time. they scamper around and fight in big balls of
several little rats. they are curious and have started to imitate the
behavior of their mother.
Saw a rat at work today22 Sep 2006 03:19 GMT5
I work at night at a Wal-Mart-like store... I was moving a pallet in the
warehouse area in back and a rat hopped off and ran for cover.
Odd looking one, too. Seemed to be black with brown limbs. Like a sort
of German Shepherd of a rat...
New babies...22 Sep 2006 03:10 GMT14
After promising my husband no more rats... guess what I went and did? I
found out through a rat forum that rats were released in a high school
as an end of school year prank. A student brought home two of the rats
and his mom freaked. He asked for help. Of course I knew I was ...

I weighed the girls tonight, and Daisy tips the scale at just over 13
ounces. Should I be concerned about her health?

I want to reunite Waffle with the boys, he's wound has heeled really quickly
which I am very surprised at but happy at the same time, when I took him
