I can't recall that I've ever had a dog with a cold, but cats get them, or something like them. So first off, do dogs? They must, right? Horses, pigs, cows, and rats do.... There's a cold-type virus variant out there for every mammal, right?

once a day or less, my dog has a strange type cough. well maybe a cough. it is like he gasps for air, and his inhale is like a cough, rapid breaths, maybe 4 or 5, then he seems fine. does this raise any red flags for anyone?

I read an article in Cat Fancy magazine that the hairball treatment stuff that you can buy blocks some vitamins from being asorbed (SP?) by a cats system. Was just wondering if anyone knew if this was true or not.
