Cat not eating..31 Dec 2004 13:56 GMT4
I have an 8yr. old over weight cat who for the last 4 days hasn't eaten. She
follows me to her room as if to get fed but when I give her food she just
looks at it and walks away. She acts as if she wants something else. I have
been trying different things, I even tried to give ...
Just curious about cat meds31 Dec 2004 07:18 GMT8
I've given my cat(s) pills in the past for various reasons. Of
course we all know how difficult that can be.
I'm now giving one of my cats Albon Suspension, which is a liquid
that is given orally with a syringe-type thing. It's so remarkably
Sites on age of separation29 Dec 2004 22:50 GMT12
Anyone know of any sites that discuss the age at which kittens can be
separated from their mums? I'm trying to gently point out to someone that
six weeks is too early.
Bored Burmese29 Dec 2004 22:43 GMT12
My aunt recently moved in with us, and brought with her middle aged Burmese
cat, Cosmo.  I'm not sure exactly how old he is, but I'd put him about 5-7
years.  He's got to stay in the bathroom with the lights off most of the day
because he gets into things too much if we leave him ...

Silica Gel Packets25 Dec 2004 23:07 GMT1
Hi & Merry Christmas,
Does anyone here know anything about those little silica gel packets that
say DO NOT EAT...?  I think my 80 pound Lab ate some this morning.  I can't
find the packet but there was a small pile of it on my floor.  I called
pine needles, advice24 Dec 2004 23:46 GMT4
My 7 month old pup swallowed some pine needles today. (He likes to go after
them when I try to clean them up) Approximately 5 minutes after he swallowed
them, he vomitted. (it was green) So far, he has been eating and drinking
fine and passing stool just fine as well. Is there ...
8 week old Staffoldshire Bull Terrier24 Dec 2004 20:57 GMT1
Our puppy was vaccinated at 6 weeks.  We are hoping to visit grandparents
for Christmas who have two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, one 4 years old and
one 1 year old.  They have both had booster injections.  Is it safe for us
to visit with our new puppy?

Can anyone please tell me what this is and if it is treatable? Thanks.
Is it too soon????24 Dec 2004 18:32 GMT13
I recently put my 8 y/o black Lab 'down 'due to cancer of the left hind
limb.  He was so special to us and we really took it hard. His Vet knew how
attached we were to him and said - "Don't get another dog for 6 months!!"
Yet, I miss the companionship and comfort we all had together ...
How to give a cat more water?23 Dec 2004 07:58 GMT14
My Charlie has just been diagnosed with having crystals in urine, so is
advised to drink more water (+special food). Since he doesn;t really drink
much, and apart from mixing water in his dry food-which he is getting used
to, how else do you give your cats water?
Human vs. Animal22 Dec 2004 10:31 GMT3
Is a "reverse cough" in a dog -- the same as "hyperventilation"
in a human?

My ? is when can I safely begin to resume giving my dog Deramaxx after
stopping prednisone.  He has been on prednisone for over month for a mast

his arthritis along with the cancer it now is not due to the ...
Cat limping - when to go to vet?20 Dec 2004 12:11 GMT24
This is a question I wouldn't be asking except that my money problems are
extreme.  I'm going bankrupt but my attorney has been very ill so its been
several months that I've been avoiding collection agency calls.
This is the one situation I've been dreading.  If something happened ...

Does anyone have any experience of this disease in cats? Our darling cat
fell terribly ill recently and was narrowly rescued from death by our
wonderful vets, she is now at a specialist hospital undergoing tests but
they think that it is Polycythemia. I can find so little ...
