I found what looks like a parasitic roundworm in a puddle on the ground
at the stable where my horse lives. You can see pictures of the critter

Argh! Dog elbow again...31 Jan 2005 13:29 GMT1
Hi again all,
Well, after a few weeks of nothing unusual, 11-month-old Saskia (Great Dane)
suddenly yelped this morning, while just looking out the window and shifting
position for a better view of the cat, and held that same foot up, with her

fever of unknown origin30 Jan 2005 21:31 GMT9
I am posting this for a friend so the information may be sketchy.  She has a
3 yr. old spayed Chow who spiked a fever of 104.  She took her to the vet
and they started IV fluids and did blood work.  24 hours later, the temp.
returned to normal.  Test results indicated platelet ...
roundworm - ways to get rid of larvae in household?29 Jan 2005 06:17 GMT4
My cats are both infected with roundworms. They are under treatment as
of now. However the roundworm infection might have been several weeks
old and I am concerned about how to eliminate potential propagation of
larvae in carpets, rugs and surfaces.
Dosage of Lamisil for ringworm.28 Jan 2005 21:57 GMT4
If anyone has prescribed Lamisil for resistant ringworm, I would
appreciate knowing the dosage you used and if it was effective. I can
get a prescription for the human drug from my vet, but there seems to
be conflicting info on dosage.
Dissolving sutures?28 Jan 2005 17:47 GMT1
Laddy, adult sheltie was neutered in early Oct. '04. When he didn't stop
paying inordinate attention to his scrotum by December, I went looking
for a cause. I found two pieces of what felt like monofilament fishing
line protruding from his scrotum. The pieces were about 1/16 or 1/8 ...
any ideas?28 Jan 2005 12:03 GMT3
On December 4th of 2004 I went to our local humane society and adopted a
kitten.  The next day I noticed that he (about 3-4 months old I was told)
was sneezing a lot.  I took the kitten back to the humane society where I
was told that it was nothing to worry about if he was eating ...
Solid Gold dog food?27 Jan 2005 10:10 GMT2
I'm thinking of changing my 11-month-old Dane's food to see if that helps
with her recurrent skin problem and recurrent vaginitis, especially as she
seems to improve with a daily yoghurt-cultures drink.
Her food failed that grading system posted here and there, most recently on
Cat urinating too much27 Jan 2005 01:39 GMT25

been letting in drops of urin every few minutes, and doesn;t care to go to
litterbox anymore. I can see she is having a hard time trying to get it ...

did you use?
stump pyometra26 Jan 2005 02:18 GMT23
In spaying, how common is it for a portion of the uterus to be left which
might develop pyometra? Some references talk as tho this happened only
rarely, by oversight. Other references talk as though some stump were
normally left.
2 year old AmBull Not wanting to eat20 Jan 2005 02:30 GMT4
Ok I was wondering if someone besides the puppy wizzard can respond to this.
I have a 2 year old ambull that does not want to eat all of his kibble at
one time. I dont belive in free feeding so that leaves out the option of
letting it sit till he wants to eat it. I also have a seven ...
