SQ Injections for Cats30 Mar 2005 22:48 GMT4
I just have a question for vets/techs out there.  I was just wondering where
everyone gives SQ injections to cats?  With all the talk about
fibrosarcomas, we're debating to stop scruff injections all together.  One
of our vets was researching fibrosarcomas on the internet and they ...
soft poop28 Mar 2005 00:54 GMT2
Have you tried asking your vet for special diet like Hills id or RCW
sensitive control. These are very bland food and somtimes can help if there
problems with digestive system.
Does castration help to decrease aggressiveness?25 Mar 2005 00:25 GMT3
I have several male dogs in my house. Unfortunately, one dog keeps getting
more and more aggressive with time, and it causes almost every day fights
with other male dogs. We can't take it anymore, and we are considering
castrating that dog. The problem is the dog is 6 years old, and ...
Puppy Murmurs24 Mar 2005 21:06 GMT2
Question for any DVM's out there.  How excited(concerned), generally, do you
get about finding innocent(grade 1 or 2) murmurs in young puppies?  When I
say young, I mean 7/8 weeks of age.

Bad Cat breath & castrating21 Mar 2005 17:33 GMT5
My Tom cat's breath smells very bad - like puss and he's dribbling. I tried
to get him into the car to take him to the vets but he ran off.  He often
stays out for days and I'm anxious to catch him soon. Any idea why he would
smell and have a thick mucous drool around his mouth?
Buddy keeps losing weight21 Mar 2005 13:20 GMT1
Our 15 year old male cat has been succesfully battling
cholangiohepatis, and off and on diabetes for over two years and now
apparantly has pancreatitis as well. His liver numbers are actually
improving over the past few months, but he is decidedly going down hill
using worms to treat IBD - any info?21 Mar 2005 13:18 GMT2
I have an almost 3 year old smooth collie, Lucy, who has IBD.  Brief
synopsis: She was born and raised at a breeder who was planning on showing
her. I adopted her at age 23 months. Her pre-spay blood panel showed
abnormally low levels of globulin. Urinalysis showed her kidneys ...
Blood in urine20 Mar 2005 21:51 GMT6
I just took Chloe for a walk and when she pee'd I noticed it looked very
red.  (It was nearing sunset, so at first I thought maybe the light was
playing tricks on me).   I put my hand on the ground where she'd pee'd to
see, and it came up with no signs.  When she squatted to pee ...
Post-neutering safety20 Mar 2005 01:04 GMT1
I have a cat who needs neutered (and will be shortly), but he is in a
different situation than the prior several cats I have had
spayed/neutered.
We have a separate room, known as "The Kitty Rescue Room", and most of
Feline Diganostic Tools?15 Mar 2005 02:28 GMT3
Greetings everyone;
I was hoping that i might be able to get some information from anyone
out there who's a vet, or a vet tech, or even a well-read cat-lover
with the answers...
Greyhound with seriously receding gums on front teeth!14 Mar 2005 02:32 GMT4
My seven year old female greyhound has seriously receding gums on her
very front teeth both top and bottom. They are the teeth between the
fangs in the very front (insiscors?). It involves the very front 2 top
teeth and the bottom 3 front teeth. I have been brushing them with a
TradeWinds Tape Worm Tabs - legal?13 Mar 2005 15:28 GMT1
Are TradeWinds Tape Worm Tabs for cats (23 mg Praziquantel), FDA
approved for OTC sales? A secretary at the vet's office said OTC
Praziquantel was illegal. I searched on Google and it appears that
these tape worm tabs are legal but I want to be 100% sure. I also
Kidney problems in older dog12 Mar 2005 20:16 GMT14
I have a 10-11 year old male Lab.  Prior to minor surgery, the vet did some
blood tests, which show elevated levels of  "Bun" (don't know what that
means0 and "Creatinine."  The surgery has been postposed, possibly forever.
Normal range for "Bun" is 7 -0 27;  the dog's is 40.
Brandys sick ? on droopy eye & muzzle10 Mar 2005 03:55 GMT1
I've noticed over the last year that her right eye at times will get droopy.
I even had the vet check it because when it happens the inner lid seems to
curl up some but not over the eye.  They attributed it to her allergies
since it seems worse at times during the year.
