Cat asthma questions31 Oct 2005 21:02 GMT2
I am not new dealing with asthma in cats, as I have one who was
diagnosed with it several years ago, and had one we lost in May (he
was almost 16, and most likely died of lymphoma).  But our youngest
cat, Arthur, was just diagnosed with it recently and I have a few
Frontline for Kittens29 Oct 2005 20:27 GMT2
Our vetrenarian gave us some Frontline for our kittens to be used after
a bath.
They are now 91/2 weeks old.  He stated it will not harm them and I do
hope this is true.  What about using only half as much as is packaged.

Hello.  I was wondering if anyone could provide some input regarding my
issue.  I apologize for the lengthy post.
I have a 6 year old lab mix that has been battling ear problems for the

Mysterious episode in cat26 Oct 2005 19:33 GMT4
A friend of mine recently rescued a couple of kittens that did not
even have their eyes opened yet.  She is an experienced rescuer, and
Board of Directors of a no-kill animal shelter, so she knows quite a
bit.
Ureter Calculi and removal26 Oct 2005 17:11 GMT2
My cat has a calcium oxalate stone in his ureter (ureter calculi). It's
not obstructing anything as far as we know but it's there. The vet says
that it can't be surgically removed and that not even a specialist
would attempt it.

My cat recently underwent radioactive iodine treatment for
hyperthyroidism. Prior to receiving this treatment, he was on tapazole

either the normal or below normal range. In fact, I'm afraid that for a
Cushing's Disease in Westie22 Oct 2005 20:56 GMT2
Yesterday, I learned my 5 yo Westie was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease.
My vet is out of town until Monday and I was wondering what the statistics
are on his longivity.  His Cortisol test result is 9.0 in a reference range
of 2.0-6.0 ug/dl.  Is 9.0 considered the beginning ...
How do yo tell if a cat is in pain21 Oct 2005 23:16 GMT3
I have a 17 year old cat who in the last year is having quickly
increasing trouble getting up on a chair, but she never makes any noise
that would lead to thinking she is in pain.  Yet I know a person with
arthritis, is in pain. To repeat the question, how can I tell if she is
Older dog house-breaking19 Oct 2005 23:20 GMT4
I have a Maltese that I just adopted, he is about 2 years old.  I have had
him for about 6 months now, and I have 2 others.  For the past month or so
it is like he "forgot " that he was trained.  He has started going to the
bathroom in the house.  Sometimes even after we just took ...
