Canine vaccination protocol31 Dec 2006 23:53 GMT13
I'm wondering what the current vaccination schedule is for dogs. I'd
like up to take information with the most currently scientifically
accepted theories.
I have found this on a web page and wonder what it is all about:
Poor kitty - help?!31 Dec 2006 05:17 GMT17
Kitty went to the vet on Thursday to be groomed. From the bill, it
looks like they gave her acepromazine. Even right now, she's still
weak, and hasn't been eating. What can I do to help her?? I've been
keeping her warm and watching her like a hawk, but I'm frantic and
gasoline on cat's fur28 Dec 2006 15:56 GMT8
Muffin came home with gasoline on her back.  She is a very large 20+
pound long haired cat so must have crawled under a leaking vehicle.
Other than a bath where we will get badly scratched, is there a
solution? If we wash just the area, my experience has been that cats
mysterious death of muscovy ducks27 Dec 2006 22:57 GMT2
We have had two muscovy ducks die in the past few weeks and another has
come down sick today.  One day they appear perfectly healthy, the next
they sit listlessly, and that night or the next day are dead.  Their
weight is plump and normal and there are no signs of trauma.  We do not
Pet loss27 Dec 2006 11:40 GMT10
My 13.5 year old cat Spooky died suddenly last Sunday. While he had had
some health problems for the last 6 months, I thought we had
successfully overcome them. The vet thinks that he either had a stroke,
or a massive heart attack. I am beside myself. I have always had
Make It A Happy Chanukah Go Vegetarian Since It Is The Correct Diet Prescribed By Moses !22 Dec 2006 01:39 GMT5
Chanukah commemorates the miracle of the oil that was enough for only
one day, but miraculously lasted for eight days. A switch to
vegetarianism on the part of the world's people could result in an even
greater miracle: the end of the scandal of world hunger which results
One Sixe Fits All Does Not Work No Merit20 Dec 2006 16:13 GMT2
The reason that the manual is fraudulent in it's claims is that it
begins with the premise that one size fits all.
Jerry Howe AKA Zalman Ben Ychiel Shlieshi claims that his 'method' will
train dogs, cats, children, roosters, and birds, among other sentient
Potassium levels still high (re: Kitten in kidney failure, my fault)17 Dec 2006 05:36 GMT4
The kitten I posted about several days ago went for a new blood test
today and her BUN and CREATININE (sp?) levels are fine, but her
POTASSIUM is still too high.  The vet is going to check it again
tomorrow.  In the meantime, I'm in a panic.  What could be the problem?
Kitten in kidney failure - my fault17 Dec 2006 03:39 GMT16
I accidentally overdosed a 3 pound kitten with .8 ml of Metacam.  The
dose was supposed to be .08 ml
I did this on Monday morning, now it's Friday and she's at the vet in
kidney failure.  Do kittens ever recover from something this bad?
Need Help!! Lyme disease??15 Dec 2006 04:18 GMT1
I just recently moved from Southern Arizona to Northern Virginia. I
took my 4 year old Black Lab to the vet within 1 week of moving. They
took a blood sample and said he had a high count of  ??? and possible
had Lyme disease. The vet prescribed doxycycline. An extra sample was

home treatments for IBD inflammatory bowel disease12 Dec 2006 02:20 GMT1

Inflammatory bowel.
In that it does absolutely seem to be as a reaction to the
Ampicillin/Clavolic Acid, I am hoping once in control, she will be ok.
More advice needed please11 Dec 2006 05:01 GMT3
So now that I'm down to one dog, we're noticing just how much *he's*
having problems. He's always salivated heavily at the smell or thought
of food (he's a real pig-dog!), but lately he's been doing it all the
time. I can't see any obvious sign of injury in his mouth, and it
When can I stop worrying? Raisins...10 Dec 2006 01:11 GMT1
About a week ago (actually exactly a week ago), Erwin managed to steal half
a plate of butter tarts (containing raisins) off of the dining room table.
Anyways, he's been fine for the past week, so I'd more or less forgotten
about it.
Acute anemia09 Dec 2006 22:04 GMT8
Does anyone here have any ideas what we might be facing here?
My dog - a 12 y.o. shepherd/Doberman/husky cross - is not doing too
well, and he's not doing it at a very bad time for me financially. I
spent what I had ($350.00) for blood tests and I.V. fluids.
